Our journey was complex, and we met criticism, mistreatment, and other obstacles. However, we persisted and are now grateful to have reached this beautiful country. We are immensely proud of our accomplishments and believe that others facing similar difficulties can draw inspiration from our stories. Although the couple had to persevere through repeated obstacles, biases and human cruelty., what I enjoyed the most, was the refreshing reminder of human kindness and the message of lifting up others. Marc’s autobiography was proof that hope, love and determination is the recipe for achieving the impossible.

  • An easy read that helped me understand my own background. I really enjoyed this book. It's truly heartfelt and it's easy to read as each chapter is only a few pages long. The chapters are almost like bullet points. I always wondered what could have made my grandparents/great grandparents move from the land that was their home to a place where they didn't know the language or customs and I have a greater understanding now of the thought process.
